Enjoying and Celebrating Christmas in the New Normal

The season of Christmas that begins from Thanksgiving brings festivity and joy to everyone’s lives. Thanksgiving is the day when people thank the almighty for blessing them with harvest and also show gratitude towards all the good things and people around. On Christmas, people wish each other Merry Christmas and pray that the day takes away all the negativity and darkness from people’s life. But this is the new normal, and things have quietly changed.

While the pandemic had dampened the moods of many, there are still plenty of reasons to celebrate this joyous occasion this coming December while safely staying at home. Cancelling our much-anticipated holidays every year is a truly heartbreaking feeling for many of us—it’s like taking away the most important part of our existence. Obviously, this year’s holidays are the loneliest ones in a long while, but don’t let it take your grand celebration away. After Christmas, we pulled out all our displays and decorations and made the house the colorful and brightest ever than we did before. This way, we helped ourselves to still feel the excitement and spirit of these magical holidays at home.

Most of all, we will celebrate the deeper relationships we have built as we continue on this road. The unfazed quest to be the bearer of that single stone to build the cathedral along with the other stone-bearers. Because that is what Christmas is for. The new normal brings with it an awareness that it’s not just the gifts under the tree we should be happy about but presence of the source of it all. Don’t ever forget the true spirit of the holiday season, but, this time it would be different, you need to take care of yourself to free it from the virus.
