Kannawidan
festival marks the historic establishment of the province during the Spanish
times. This festival is a week-long deluge of happiness for local and foreign
tourists, with the goal of raising awareness of the province's rich cultural
heritage, practices, and traditions. In addition, it showcases the province's
various agricultural and industrial products. It was also an opportunity to
showcase local products, artistry, and craftsmanship. Moreover, it was also
created to boost the local tourism industry. During the Saniata ti Ilocos Sur
pageant, a battle of brains and beauty was witnessed. There were also art
exhibitions and competitions. Kannawidan is a way of showcasing products like
horticulture, furniture's, crafts, cuisines, and the provinces and this what
are called the one town one product.
It was a fun-filled week of Kannawidan festival celebrations in Ilocos Sur. We have Kannawidan Festival to cheer up our unique culture, tradition, and Ilokano way of life. Learn everything you can from anyone. There will always be a time when you will be grateful for what you did, and this is what we need to be more progressive in our province. Happy Kannawidan!
